Embroidery software..Ok now I am down to two choices..PE Design or Wilcom Deco studio E2.

Any ideas? I do have Brother machines. And I did use Corel all thru college (graphic artist) The price is the same.Just wondering if anyone has tried them and what they did or didn't like.I will be digitizing my own designs, one of the reason for making the investment..Help? lol

I have use PE design for years. I have compared it to mu s-i-l's programming and found a lot more variables with her Janome program.
I purchased a book on PE design and it takes me step by step through the process from start to finish.
Hope this is useful.

I've never looked at Wilcom Deco studio E2 before. For starters, it does so much more than embroidery so that's a big plus if you are into other crafts. I'm currently deciding between MasterWorksII and PE Next (Pallette9). It's a tough decision especially since if I turn in my Pe designs 5.61 I get the MWII for less than 1/2 price. Ive heard a lot of bad things about PE design but I also have a Brother machine and it's hard to give up what I already know.

In case you ever want to expand your embroidery and digitizing into a business you should go with the Wilcom. I bought the level 3 in March during their promotion and am just now learning it. I purchased mine from Balboa and it came with their entire group of CD's tutorials for digitizing. It also included the updated Corel program too.

Wilcom is popular all over the world with embroidery professionals.
