I made these mostly from designs by Sick and my son said that no one would wear them. I would like your opinion. Hugs Dean

Bear in mind this is a boy critisizing. They look fine to me and I see lots of young girls wearing them/Lillian

My sons are similarly critical of my sewing -the 16yo being the worst, of course :) I don't have 'extra' holes in my ears, but I'm sure lots would wear them. One of my sewing friends loves to do earrings as well. In gift giving, some buy (or make) what they like themselves, others lean more to what the person they are making or buying for likes. Are these to sell or for gifts?

These would be a good thing to use the glow in the dark thread. Teens would really like something different.

Maybe he means HE wouldn't wear them! I think they're cute, cute, cute and I know people who would love them. You keep making what you want and never mind what your son says. You didn't make them for him, did you!? LOL.

I agree many would love those. My little sister is in 50's and loves to have matching earrings for her outfits. I make her some all of the time sometimes the wieder the better. You just keep sewing someone will love them. Hugs & Stitches, Liz

Preteens will LOVE THEM! .... they are cute! Around here these would sell at Craft Fairs but would have to be priced low..... Judge the price of your earwires, add a little for the thread. You won't get much for your time. I learned that the hard way! LOL

I think they are really good and see no reason why they wouldn't sell! Way to go! (guess you'll have to test the market and then you'll really have to get busy!)

Anybody, striving to make a statement, be a little different, or just plain fun will enjoy these. Sorry, son, Mom's right!

Teenagers will love them. Personally I would not wear them as they are a bit too "funky" for me. Good luck - I am sure they will sell. Sarah.

They are lovely and I think it would likely sell at a craft market.

I think your son is very much wrong. I have this set and just haven't stitched it yet, but I know many people that would wear them.

My 14 y/o GD would love these, especially the peace signs. Price them right, and you'll likely send them all. LOL! What do guys know about our earrings anyway?? ;)

I really don't know what they should sell for. Have you seen them for sale before if so how much were they? Thank you they are fun to make I really like the flip flops at soyna showalter. I know i am not spelling her name right. Hugs Dean

Owls in particular really are everywhere!

Well, no one is a big overstatement. However, every
one is different so its hard to say. Personally I would not- my ears are to sensitve and not my style.
I can only where real gold and nowadays hardly anything. If for gifting- research the person a bit
to avoid hurt feelings or dissapointment on either side. Hope it helps a wee bit

Hi I can only wear gold, but I have overcome this problem by wearing gold sleepers. I attach whatever to them and that way I can often wear the most funky with out a problem, I make sure I detach them at night.I love the peace signs, Hugs Christine, Johannesburg

a sleeper is a plain gold circle earring,has no stud on it so comfortable to sleep in,they can be either gold or silver

I've made some of these and they where snapped right up. I reinforced the peace sign and use it for a zipper pull. Keep embroidering!

Those are beautiful. I love sick's designs. I don't know what he was thinking but he is so very wrong. Fsl earrings are so light hanging in one's ears that you forget that you have them on. Keep up with what you are doing.
