Some reason my funny picture didn't make it. Have to try again...
Maybe something funny will help you laugh. They say laughter is the best medicine.

I do hope it is feeling better! I am sure by now that your parience might be wearing very thin at times. Things could be better but you have been a lot worse also. Hang in there and hope for the best...real soon! Hey, you are getting a sort of vacation from all of the things that your really do not want to do. Bad thing is, they will be stacking up by the time you can do them. You do need to remember that before you get completely well, to get everyone to help you catch up so you will not have to do everything that is behind(and waiting), alone! hehe Hugs and blessings, Linda
thank you for the advice Linda. please come over to help me ....sorry, i know we live too far apart, but it's a nice thought :)
My dear Gerry took me a while to find the reason for your needing the hugs, but finally found it. I suppose dh never thought about anyone putting their hands into the garbage bag, but one never knows ...do take care and don't over do...Hugs x0x0x0 Glenda

So sorry to read this! I hope it heals well. Big hug!!
So sorry to hear the story of your accident. I would be absolut helpless without my right hand (cannot read myself what I write with the left hand ;o).
Hope your hubby is giving you the best service ever...
Big hug for you and a lot of patience
B
Oh, so sorry..I pray you will quickly recover from this mishap..take care of that finger...and here's a great big HUG from me too!! GOD bless!
Thank you for the hugs sofar. and i do know how it will be to do everything with one hand. in the past 6 years . i broke my left arm twice and just two years ago i broke my right arm.(by the way i have osteroporosis) but now i did not break anything. just my hb broke something : that glass ... only thing that's tricky : hope the damage will heal properly and i will be able to use the thumb again.
I know how you feel, I had had three surgeries on my right hand!!! Hugs and kisses!!!!****
Wonder what all these means - for you to slow down or learn how to use each of your hands to the best of your ability?
oh my goodness--what an accident! So sorry that you're hurt. Make sure you don't wiggle it in that plaster--you want it to heal well. Take your vitamins!
Cute hugs and prayers and healing too, coming your way. Christine JOhannesburg
Another big hug from the States, from a leftie. Just sit back and relax and catch your breath. This may be the only time you'll take for yourself. Let others show you they can take care of things for you. And to misquote Scarlet O'Hara, "Tomorrow's 3 weeks away." God bless.
I hope it quits hurting very soon! I know it is going to be hard to manage everyday things without your right hand. I am lost without my right hand! I have arthritis worse in my right than my left and it stays numb sometimes until it will throb. I wish I could give you a hug but since I am so far away it will have to be a great BIG cyber hug! Get well soon! Hugs and blessings coming your way!, Linda
perhaps a nice drink with that hug :-)
big hugs from London
maria xx
A hug of teddy bear goes direct to you so that recover soon.
I hope the pain is short-lived and not being able to use your hand is bearable. Three weeks will soon pass and you'll be raring to go. Jan
Oh, Gerry, am so sorry to hear of your demise. Being a righthander myself, I can only imagine how awkward it is to try to use your left...Big Hug to you!!!
Boy do I know what you are going through. I have been dealing with my right hand since December 14th. Please make sure you rest it. I still have lots of pain with my hand. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs DeVon
Sorry gerry to hear this. I guess this means no sewin too ? Huggs send over
i just got home from the emergency .my hb broke a glass last night and had thrown it away in the kitchen bin. I had used ovenpaper I wanted to throw away, it was used. I wanted tp put new in the oven to warm a pizza. when i did throw the paper in the bin , i pushed it down. and my thumb came into this broken glass. ough !! it kept bleeding , so went to hospital and it appeared the tendom was damaged. so they made sutures inside the thumb and on the surface. it has to get absolute rest and is in plaster now. for at least 3 weeks. it's my right hand, and i am righthanded. so now you know why i need that hug ...
Of course you need a hug - lots of hugs coming your way. Please do what they say and don't test your limits. When they let you take the bandages off and the incision site is healed -get some Vit E oil or open some Vit E capsules and rub that into the incision site. It will help break down the scar tissue and give you more mobility.
How terrible! I'm so sorry this happened to you! BIG HUGS and wishes for a speedy recovery!
I cut myself many years ago with a steak knife and when I read your story I remembered the whole incident. Take care and heal. Hugs & Stitches, Liz
Here is one coming your way...I wish I could give you a big Easter egg too!
