When thread is old how many of you slice it up into various lengths, put in gallon ziplock, stir to mix colors and then spread between Water soluable stabilizer and then sew with stipple or other stitch to create fabric?

At one point I save all my thread trimmings because I thought they were to beautiful to throw away and was wondering what to do with them. I got over it and threw them out anyway! lol!

I have never done that but I keep all the lenghs of thread that comes off my embroidery machine and store in a ziplock bag for I don't know what yet. LOL Hugs and Stitches
