Mudgee is north west of Sydney. It is on the western side of the Great Dividing Range. From Sydney you have to follow the Great Western Highway through the Blue Mountains to Lithgow or Wallerawang and then go north. There are a number of coal mines all through that area but family members who live around there have farms. My husbands first school was not far from there in the Capertee Valley. Hope this helps, Bev.
