wow can just imagine how you feel it is great being a granma enjoy,,,,,soozie
Congratulations. You can't believe the excitement and enjoyment of a new grandchild. It will steal your heart and take your breath away.
Thinking about a cart cover shows you are already thinking in the right direction. I used the McCall Pattern to make mine.
I like the cart seat cover because it goes over the handle and the baby doesn't get the germs and it is thrown in the washer so it is always sanitary. There is nothing more upsetting than to see a child in a cart chewing on the handle. I know most stores have the hand sanitizer wipes at the entrance to wipe the handles but I wonder how safe the chemicals in those are.
Congratulations Grandma/Mimi Carmen. That is wonderful news. I see Chris has given you the link.
Congrats, you are going to be a Grandma. This is the best that can happened to us. Hugs Marie.
Congratulations on becoming a Mimi - so much more fun!
Oops - forgot to answer your ques. - guess was too excited you are going to join the ranks of grams. I saw one a couple weeks or so ago, but don't remember where. If I think of it or find it I'll let you know.
THANK YOU for all the well wishes and all the sites. I will do some research and post one when it is finished.... SOOOOOO excited!!!
I have seen those patterns at mccalls or simplicity. You might also try www.allfreesewing.com. They have great tutorials. I also posted a few days ago an idea that I use a lot. On a shirt, I put "when a child is born, so is a grandma" that I'm sure would look good on you! I can't wait to be a gran other--alas no signs yet.
Many congratulations. Grandchildren are simply the best
I think all the major pattern companies have these..McCalls, etc. Watch for the patterns to be on sale at Joanns for either 99 cents or $1.99 & get one..,.there's always other things in there too.
Congratulations! One of the greatest blessings (for me) in life is being a Granny (or Mimi). I'm so happy for you!!
I know you did not ask for these but I thought you might like to have them! ..Mimi items are not easy to find! one is a lovely message and the other is for a tee shirt. Mimi love is by Chanty as Sewforum and Never in Trouble is by krislynjo;>)
Thank you for posting these! My DIL is MiMi to the 3 grands. Now, the name the GG's call me was given to me by the baby of the 3 and it seemed to stick. It is hard to find! They call me MaMa Linda. They are the step GG's and the baby was born just a month before my son married my DIL. She kept asking me what I wanted them to call me and I would tell her to wait until they got used to me and THEY would pick out the name. It was not until the baby could talk that they finally settled on the name that he gave me.
month before my son married his granny. He was the one that finally gave me a name that stuck with them. Up until then the 2 oldest children called me alot of different things. They already has a MawMaw.
I think you will find all sorts of ideas at this site.
