Angel praying by bed fabric card.. I wanted to make a fabric card with this beautiful emb.pattern from angelbaby811, i also needed somehow to make a frame, so i combined pattern from smithandsmith embroidered page to (as she made for making children's fabric story book) see how it would hold together. I am donating fsl angels to hospital for patients and thought of making some fabric cards also. Here's the result of my praying angel fabric card. Hope you like.

Denise, so happy to see this lovely angel that angelbaby811 (Diana) was so sweet to creat this lovely angel for me - when Rick had his stroke almost 2 years ago and my Mother (Miss Loretta) passed the following week.

I am glad to see that you are using it for a wonderful cause - you did a great job.

I'm so sorry to hear about Rick and your mother. I fell in love with this beautiful pattern when i first seen it. It just happens that my DH just went through quadruple heart surgery. He is fine now. I had made him a glowing fsl angel, she is also kneeling and praying, he had it with him all time in hospital, when he was released he gave it to a gentleman next to him. Gotta keep these beautiful angels moving around, we all need their love and help, good or bad times. :) hugs Denise.

beautiful idea to make a card

Very nice, good idea for a card

As you see from the back, i made a little paper stand to hold card up. I just drew it out of card stock, then cut it out, and layed fabric card inside. I didn't put any words with card, i figured card picture spoke for its self. I'm making another one this morning, this time i'll add a strip of paper to add some words from the heart.

This is how i made it: I hooped mesh stablizer in hoop, added top fabric, stitched out the outline of card frame,then i stopped it, went and loaded praying angel, once that was completed i went back and loaded frame of card and finished it off. Poked holes in area where there are four circles to poke holes, added lace to make bow. Hope my info. makes sense, LOL Its 4:19 am i need a coffee. Happy stitching everyone. Np shirlen, next time when i make another one,i'll take pics, some ppl find it easier to see the information then read my jabberish LOL This weekend i'll make more, these are my third and fourth fabric cards i've ever made. TONS OF FUN.

Thank you pennifold, i hope so too, i made them with bright colors, figure it bring a little color to someone in hospital. You know how hospitals are depressing with no color. Next one i'll make this morning will be just a touch diff. as soon as its completed i'll add under this card. Denise :)
