Graycie is at a whooping 6.3 now..whoo hoo!

Eats alot on her own & then waits for me to make her milkshake..LOL! Her big bro,Charlie, was rushed to vet Saturday, he has pancreatitis..we have hopes for a full recovery..included a pic of her stairs..

by sewtired 18 Jan 2012

I have been looking for an update on Graycie for a couple of days now. Guess I missed it some how yesterday. It's good to see her standing and I too like the stairs. Sure hope the vet gets Charlie up to snuff again soon.

by darmoola 18 Jan 2012

Thank you for keeping us up-to-date. I enjoy hearing all the good news. I'm hopeing her brother will have a speedy recovery. I love animals and my baby "Polly." She's not a bird just my odd looking Boston Terrier mix. Keep us posted!

Oh Vicki, I am so tired of hearing about Graycie, JOKING! I am so pleased that she is doing so well, I read all of your posts about her, I just don't always have time to commment. I still can't believe you found her, and now she looks so healthy and happy.

Thanks, Alice...I still look at her in awe, Jim & I were each beginning to think we were not going to see her again, we just weren't saying it out loud to each other!!!!

by rmj8939 18 Jan 2012

It pleases me to see her doing so well.

by christracey 18 Jan 2012

Great news for Graycie that she is coming along so well. Will continue prayers for her & now her bro Charlie. Has he accepted her back yet? I know it was difficult there for a while.

basketkase by basketkase 18 Jan 2012

It was Sammi that was being a brat with her and yes all is well there now, it took about 3 weeks. Charlie is our big laid back kitty who has been healthy as a horse until now and out of the 6 cats, all except Sammi, are 14-15 yrs old. Sam's only 3...So Sam's a toddler in a nursing home...LOL

it is like Sammi is a toddler in a nursing home!!!!

A happy camper ! W e love her!

by killiecrankie 17 Jan 2012

Love the stairs. Its amazing how quickly animals can lose weight but it takes forever for them to put it back on again.Had a dog with a pancreas problem ,she looked like she had been in a doggy concentration camp, ate everything in sight without taking in the nourishment from it

by greysewist Moderator 17 Jan 2012

What a great team effort her recovery has been Vicki. Lots would not have put in the effort that you have -what a lucky kitty she is. And even such a classy set of stairs she's been provided with. She looks great, especially in the face, though her rear end looks like it still needs a little filling in.
Hope Charlie picks up as well as Graycie has. No such thing as an easy day at your house, obviously.

by joann13100 17 Jan 2012

She's looking better all the time. So glad your kitty is better.

by moyed 17 Jan 2012

your baby is truely beautiful. hugs Helen

She sure has filled out well and good picture of her standing on her legs. Is she able to hop/jump yet? Don't know what you are feeding her but keep it coming. lol

I know it gives your a lot of joy to know how you have saved Gracyie's life. She looks precious.

by hogfan 17 Jan 2012

Look at that beautiful face so full of hope! Twinkles says she knows what she is going through. hoping for charlies is quick recovery too!

by marcellelewis 17 Jan 2012

Thank you so much for the update and pictures. She looks great. The fact that she is eating on her own a lot is wonderful. Waiting on her milkshake says a lot in itself. Sounds like she is almost back to her old self from your loving care.

Gracie has almost become 'Cute's' mascot.

Vicki - She is looking great. So sorry to hear about her brother. Mushu is fully recovered - just 'dying' in the heatwave we are having. Love Sarah

So glad to hear she is doing so well. I think at this point she is just a little spoiled. (I guess she deserves it) She sure is looking good. Arlene

Well, Graycie is looking great! Sorry her brother is sick and hope that goes well. So happy she is doing well. We finally had to put our Hunter down, she wasn't doing well at all and it was our own selfishness keeping her alive. The doc gave her a sedative and us time with her and I swear she looked into our eyes and let us know she was ready. Hard, hard to do but it had to be done.

basketkase by basketkase 17 Jan 2012

Oh, Debra, I am so sorry to hear about Hunter. I fully understand your statement regarding selfishness...been there and it is not fun or fair for the animal...God bless you...hugs...Vicki

susiesembroidery by susiesembroidery 17 Jan 2012

So sorry to hear about your little Hunter. May you find solace in that you did what is humanly possible. We are all suffering when our animals are suffering and hope that they will improve. Hugs and flowers to you as well.

zoefzoef by zoefzoef 17 Jan 2012

Deb, sorry to her about Hunter. It's hard to loose an animal , a dear friend. Words can not ease the pain. Just remember all the lovely time you shared together

gerryvb by gerryvb 17 Jan 2012

sorry to read about Hunter, it's a hard decission but we do it because we love them that much. Hugs G.

by aleene 17 Jan 2012

The stairs are great should be on sale at LOWES!!

basketkase by basketkase 17 Jan 2012

Jim was going to build some, but he always does everything "overkill" and they would have cost twice as much and weighed 1000 lbs...LOL!

anne55 by anne55 17 Jan 2012

Oh, goodness, you've got one of those husbands too?!?!

ramona by ramona 17 Jan 2012

I didn't know there was more than one of those husbands out there. God love them.

joann13100 by joann13100 17 Jan 2012

Wish I had one of those. Mine sits on the couch and only does things in the theoretical sense, the project never gets done.
