Who can help me

Hello Cuties
I am looking for a band with which I can stick on a seam of rubber and fabric. Is thus protected by the seam, or something waterproof. Can you help me? What a band that could be?
It is for a dry suit, in which the rubber seals were repaired on the arms. Now I must somehow the place where the rubber and fabric from the suit over each other to protect something so that when they do not dress and undress again be consumed. It must therefore be a band that sticks to fabric and rubber.
I ask this question in German, because I do not know if the Google translator to translate it so that it is understandable. If it is not understandable, perhaps, one might prefer Cutie, which German and English can translate it again. Am grateful for every answer. For my dry suit is currently a wet diving suit.

Ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Band, mit welchem ich eine Naht von Gummi und Stoff überkleben kann. Damit die Naht geschützt, bzw. etwas wasserfest wird. Könnt ihr mir helfen? Was für ein Band könnte das sein?
Es ist für einen Trockentauchanzug, bei dem die Gummimanschetten an den Armen ausgebessert wurden. Nun muß ich irgendwie die Stelle, wo Gummi und der Stoff vom Anzug übereinander liegen etwas schützen, damit sie nicht beim an- und ausziehen wieder aufgerieben werden. Es muß also ein Band sein, welches auf Stoff und Gummi klebt.
Ich stelle diese Frage auch in Deutsch ein, da ich nicht weiß, ob der Google-Übersetzer es so übersetzen kann, daß es verständlich ist. Falls es gar nicht verständlich ist, vielleicht könnte ein lieber Cutie, welcher Deutsch und Englisch kann es nochmals übersetzen. Bin für jede Antwort dankbar. Denn mein Trockentauchanzug ist im Moment ein Naß-tauchanzug.
