okay, I guess I'm not very smart. I see all these flowers by people's names, and the count by my name is growing too, but what does it mean? Thanks in advance for answering this ignorant person's question.

I see you got alot of good answers so I will just say Welcome to Cute! I know it is still new to you but it will not take long for you to get familar with the site and before long you will be addicted like most of the rest of us are! I am an "old timer" and the 1st thing I do when I get up in the morning is to visit this site! There are alot of wonderful designs free and for sale and sooo many people here that are pro's at what they do! You can always find the answer to any question you ask concerning embroidery PLUS alot of other things also! Have fun! Linda

I leave my glasses (I can't see much of anything without them) by the computer so this is the first place I go in the morning, check in all day long and last place I go before bed.

Welcome to the best embroidery website there is! The flowers are acknowledgement that someone read your post or liked what you said or just felt like giving you a flower, all they actually do is make you smile. There is no such thing as an ignorant person or question, no dumb or stupid questions. You will never know answers till you ask the questions and we do not judge. We are here for embroidery support, emotional support and a shoulder to lean on or cry on or rejoice to. There is no more loving group of people anywhere that I have found. Once again, welcome!
Debra

Flowers have no value, you can't trade them in for anything. They are for fun. When you post a question, answer a question or make a comment a green flower shows up by your name. When another reads it they click on the flower and turns it orange. You can give flowers to anyone, anytime. They add up quickly and the more you post the more you will get. Flowers mean we're glad you are here,we appreciate you or thank you. Welcome to Cute and just watch your garden grow.

thanks so much for the info. I'm really enjoying reading all the posts. This is my first "community"--I'm such a nerd at work (I'm the math specialist for our school district)--and I'm loving reading about others' little goofs and victories.
