Pardon for being late to the party, but I love her just the way she is. I know she's going through growing pains, though. She will be a treasure when she gets done growing. :)
Good job, Sue!
WOW! you are so on you way to great one of a kind designs. You rock.
She is perfect. Do you think you will be uploading the pattern for us? I sure could use one of her for making ITH dolls for children in hospice if she is a 4x4 hoop size.
Huggggs Joann
This one is 8x8. To fit 4x4 it would have to be separate body parts. I'll try when I'm happy with this one!
OMG...You are doing great with new year plan ...Great job! So Cute
Very nice work - with some adjustments - I am sure you will be tickled with her. Keep working with the great new embird program - lucky lady.
I think she looks like she make some special little girl a wonderful friend.. great job well done you
Big hugs - Maria xx
I love your doll. Strange thing is, I spent my day looking at doll patterns and doll face embroidery designs. I think you did a fabulous job!! Is your baby for a special someone or are you just playing? I think you did just fine with her the way she is!! She has personality, and any child would find her perfect...especially if they were the recipient of a gift such as this little darling!!
I was just playing at trying to digitise a doll to be made in the hoop. I often make a doll just for fun and this is a new challenge!
Great job. I bet there is a little girl out there somewhere that won't mind the shape however she looks great to me.
Sue, Lucky you I have embird basic with iconizer, have thought about studio but not there yet...well done!
Oh I think she is sew cute. Perfection is only in the eye of the beholder. I think she is perfect....
This doll is great. Keep working you will get to where you like what you do.!
Thank you for sharing your sweet doll with us. I have to admit that I have embird (basic +studio) for more than 3 years now and I'm not able to digitize a simple line :o( Your progress is awesome!!!
Greetings, Bettina
Very cute would love this design when you finish, you did good for first try.
Love her as she is!!! I would move her mouth up a bit but even as she is now she is cute and huggable! A good start. Hugs, Lidia
Sue, She's perfect as is. Love it.Great work. You could also copy my little dolls face( I painted her eons ago.
I've seen this face somewhere..
Preety fast learning-great job.
With the face, the lower the features the more childlike and vis a vis. I think the
face is probably for a bigger doll. Eyes lower and nose and mouth closer. A little
cheek action with some blush or colored pencils. Also, a little color in the cotton- hard to find a gd shade.
cotton. If you have over the counter RIT
you can try dyeing tan w a bit of pink to get flesh. I would try a smaller piece and
make diff samples and concentrations.
There is a Golden Rule of Proportions for faces on internet-if I can think of it I'll post it.Probably at the Doll Making
University. It helps and then deviate from
there as there are all kinds of faces. Wide eyed, realistic, baby etc.
Your going to have so much fun!!
Thanks for that. Actually, the face came from an applique design and wasn't really made for a doll. I do have a book with all of the proportions in but rules are made to be broken!
Oh yeah when I was altering dolls I would
print the template and color in the features in different ways. Its amazing what color and a few freckles can do to change the face. Prismacolored pencils.
Thumps up for your doll, she looks pretty albeit a bit surprised. I see you did the legs separately, that makes them more lifelike. I love the hair! What a cutie she is. My GD would love her!
This is so cute, thanks for sharing, Happy New Year. Hugs Geeta
She is cute, don't worry about face being a little off, gives her more personality...thanks for sharing and congrats on your new Embird and new talent.
Oh how cute. My one love is making dolls. Great job on your design.
