My problem is my house is so cluttered you can't find my table, if there is a flat surface it is piled with stuff, can't get hubby to keep it cleared off! I have seen some beautiful homes on here and mine isn't so I can't make it pretty with things like this. :(

No, I am thrilled to pieces with my gift, it was truly made with love, it shows in every stitch.
Just thought, since I think I know who this SS is, that I would support Sue in her desire to keep the playing field even, ONE HANDMADE GIFT, by all, for all. SETS are counted as ONE.
Giving more can lead to discontent or feelings of inadequacy and discourage new SS's to join as they feel they couldn't possibly give so much, as some here have.

847First of all I want to apologize to my SS for not posting sooner. We've spent all the holidays with the exception of Christmas morning out of town and we just returned last night DH took the pics for me and they are definitely not the best in the world but will have to do for now. My SS gave me the cutest Ginger kitchen towel, A sleeping mask which will get a lot of use as DH watches tv all night long, a very nice FSL bookmarker, a card and the most useful and thoughtful Prayer Pocket it's beautiful, has a magnet on the back so I can keep it handy it's alreay getting a good workout. 20661I finally made it home 1AM this morning after traveling by RV for 17 hours straight from Waco TX to Milaca MN! I am still viberating, lol! It was difficult to photograph as it's on a white net background. I think in SA we call them tea shower - a cover for food on the table to prevents flies and other insects sitting on your food

Yes, I do plan to use it all winter long...it is beautiful. 'Janetedna', though the cardinal is a year-long bird in our area, it is more visible in the winter because of the red plumage against our [abundant] white snow.

It does appear to be a "scrap" bag. You set it by your machine and you can put pins in the white part at the top and then you put your "scraps" - thread snips and things - in the little bag (and empty it when it gets full). Nice job SS.

11739Thank you Secret Santa. The present was great indeed. Beautiful idea and really handmade. The table topper is double sided can be used for Christmas and other times. My sons have done the candle holders and candles too. I have enclosed some pictures of my Christmas collections and the crib done by my youngest son outside the apartment.Tomorrow I will put the some pictures of the crib lit in the night. I have waited to open the package bis Christmas, it was under the christmas tree with all the other gifts, and I come home only to day to be able to post the picture. I have received a beautiful table runner, the christmas tree and gits are embroidered on organza 8 times, it is really marvelous.
I put a close up picture to show to you how beautiful is the embroidery with the golden threads, I am delighted to see it on my table, with a vase on it.

1146okay, my turn now. Finally :-) I was waiting for it for some time. And last week with the strike. So the parcel took some more time to arrive. But today...8:30 am ; postmen at the door...it was not for me; 10:00 am door rang again -a friend came by; 12:00 letters fell in our postbox.. And there it was a letter...from my SS !! Look what has been sewed... In the beginning I though it was something for decoration in my Xmas tree. Then I pulled the button.. Oh no; did I break it ? No it is a very lovely tape mesure with my first letter of my name.

It is a scarf - fur on one side and the geisha fabric on the lining. So many Santas are emailing me to make sure that their gift is understood!

11739My SS really has a talent for lovely hand & machine embroidery work - as can be seen on this stunning pillow with old world skaters. She also sent me a very lovely table runner with poinsettia's on each side and a beautiful design with Christmas sweets and poinsettia's. The table runner and pillow are made extremely well - this SS knows her craft. I loved the Pease Dove that was on the wonderful Christmas Card, that was sent, too. These pictures don't do these gifts justice - I was having trouble with my picture program today and finally gave up and didn't try to edit them, please excuse my lack of additional flare with borders and cropping. Way to go SS.

How was the lace done around the fabric?
140716Many thanks to my SS how did she know that i wanted a small case to carry my little camera in. now i can take it with me without the extra weigh of the heavy case.
It was beautifully creatred and as expelained in a short message a first attempt at inserting a zip in the hoop . Welllet me say it was very well done and i loved the little mouse that is attached so that my owl ( whom I love ) will not get hungry. The card too was so nice and will be kept along with other special cards from years past and come out with them every year so i can remember the senders during the special day and send out prayers, some of those who sent them are no longer here in body but close in spirit.

' Wow that will look good on the table for the bride and groom to sign the register and their certificates'. And he is right it is so very beautiful and that is exactly what I am going to use it for. This was a great haul of items, including 3 Christmas stockings, one with a chalkboard on it, a set of 4 matching placemats and a bowl, a set of table decos with electronic candles to go in them, a very cute dolly towel holder where the towel hangs on a ring beneath her skirt. A number of decorator items that were beautifully done. Thanks Secret Santa -that was an amazing effort!

It is the most gorgeous Poinsettia appliqué table runner and it looks just amazing on our dining table. I just love the fabric and it is so beautifully done.
