Hi Cuties here is the brandy balls recipe...

Brandy Balls

500gr Cherries
Brandy or rum to cover the cherries
Put cherries in brandy and leave overnight. Depending on how strong you want the cherries to be you can leave it in longer. In place of the brandy you can use rum

Mix the following together and bring to the boil:
1 ½ cup castor sugar
¾ cup milk
6 table spoons cocoa
12 tablespoons butter/margarine

Add to this:
2 cups Jungle Oats and 3 packets of Marie biscuits/tea biscuits (Crushed) and stir well.
Add 6 tablespoons of brandy/rum and 3 teaspoons of rum flavor and mix well
Form small balls while mixture is still warm with your hands and put a cherry in the middle. Roll then in fine coconut or Vermicelli
ENJOY!!!!

I do not know what they are either. Are they oats for making oatmeal?

Jungle oats are porridge oats. Just our South African brand name.

This sounds quite tasty. Do you use fresh cherries or dried? Thank you for the recipe. I would like to try this.
