Granddaughters with their new Hello Kitty hats grandma made! They wore them for a long time before they finally took them off. My daughters wanted one too, lol! And so did my nieces who came over a little later. Looks like I'm making more :D

Your hats turned out adorable. I embroidered my faces on my hats. If anyone wants the site to get the faces it is Stitch Delight and the pattern number is SD699 Animal Faces.

Thank you. The sewing pattern is Simplicity 1953. I got mine at Jo Anns for $2 on sale. The face is one I created as the cat face on the pattern isn't quite right, lol!

I just got the simplicity pattern yesterday and plan to make some.I can't see very well here, but is your "face" embroidered or is it out of fabric? Please let me know what you used. Thank you and Merry Christmas (I see you made your little girls Merry)-Toogie

I used pieces of scrap felt I had here. I used the blanket stitch to attach them to the hat. The nose is a piece of polar fleece since I didn't have any felt, lol! The exterior white is a flush soft material and I just don't trust my machine enough to embroider the face on, so I hand stiched them in place. Oh the wiskers are black yarn.
