How often do you replace your embroidery hoops? I have only had my machine for about a year and my hoop looks like it's gonna fall apart. The screw is worn and the hoop has seen better days. I don't think I made any more than 40 designs with this machine.

I have sent out two emails out for a snap press and still no response to the email. I guess a $100.00 purchase isn't worth there while...

Everyone have a blessed evening gonna go and be a MOM now to my family. night night.

Well I hope you have sorted out the problem. My hoops have been used so often. Have had to change the nut and skrew a few times. Could not get the skew from our local hardware, had to buy it from Elna. Hugs Yvonne

I am sorry to hear about your hoop-problems. I am sure that your dealer will have a look at it, and hopefully replace it with another hoop, since you have not used it much. I use mine daily with heavy embroidery and only replaced the screw once and the nut twice. I have a Bernina. My dealer is very helpful and always willing to assist me. Good luck!**

Wow My hoops are at least 7 years old and never had to replace a screw or hoop. All are in great shape and I use them 3-4 times a week with many projects each time. Even after embroidery on 8 pretty heavy silky jackets with fleece like lining. I have a Brother 2003 ULT. Like others have said I'd contact the dealer. They should have lasted longer than that. *4U Good Luck

My first machine was a Brother Galaxy, bought in 1993. My daughter used it till May when she got my Designer1 (1998) and has given it to a friend. Both are still in great working order. The inner ring of one of the Brother hoops is cracked and a bit of glue made a quick fix, and one of the screws is replaced by a nut and bolt from a hardware store, cost about $1. That's all. No problems with any of the others.
I'd go and see my dealer about it!!

I will send the hubby in for a new screw, well that sounded bad...lol. I have many projects to go yet before christmas, I need the hoop to work through these next few weeks before it takes a dive. Thank you for the advise.

I have used all my hoops many many times and never had a problem with any of them so I think you should contact the dealer and they should replace it if you've only used it maybe 40 times. Good luck to you.

My Babylock is 12 years old, and my hoops are fine, you should be able to replace the screw. I also have a brother machine, that I cracked the inner hoop..but have taped it with a piece of plastic covering the crack, and it works.

I have both a Singer Futura and a Viking Diamond and the only hoop problem I've had was when I stripped the screw on one of the Futura hoops ... the mechanism was really inexpensive (less than $2.00) and easy to replace myself. I would take the recommendations of others here and check with your dealer as soon as possible to see if they will replace or repair. Good luck!

Wow! I'm like everyone else...I have a Bernina and use it often. My hoops are in great shape...maybe a little dirty (LOL) but that's it. Good luck! I would guess they should be under warrenty.

My machine is 9 yrs old and I use it almost daily and never had to replace a hoop. I am careful not to drop them or tighten the screw too much.

My Machine is 6 years old and I have never replaced a hoop. I would be checking back to where you purchased your machine.

I have never replaced anything on a hoop. I am very careful with mine and hang them on an s-hook in a closet when not in use.

I would say it is unusual for your hoop to be worn after only one year. Does your dealer have the replacement parts? You may just need to buy a new hoop instead of parts. Would you share with us the brand?

I use my hoops very often (have a small business) and the only thing that I changed in my first 5x7-hoop where the screw and the screw-nut because I overwind it a little bit to strong ;-)
