Can someone please tell me how to space between words on my machine? I'm going to put writing on a heart for one of the Teddy bears I'm making for G-kids. I'm using a Brother 270D and for the life of me can't figure out how to do the lettering. Surely someone here can help me out, you all are so much smarter than I. Thanks

if it is oke you wil have a block at the end of the letters. It is open. Maby you have two to select a small and a big one. these are the spaces this is on my machine (Janome) but as far as I know it is the same as my first Brother, Yvonne,

When I bought my second hand machine 3 years ago it took me ages to work this out. Can you believe that it was my DH who worked it out in the end. Unfortunately I did not know anything about the Cute family then.

You have the answer by now - just wanted to say I asked the same question about my 780D and it is also the _ (underscore) that makes spaces between words.
I have found that many times depending on the letters and the font.... that I need to use the _ twice to get a good space between my words.

The brother manual explains, I think it is different for my machine, however all the letters start at the bottom left to connect. christine Live Laugh Download Stitch!

I didn't know how either when I used mine the first time, but I played with it until I figured it out.
The under score, as mentioned, does the trick. Just check it out.
Good luck!

I don't have the 270D but many machines are the same. There is a "letter" that looks like a little under score _ and that is generally a "space".

If you have a manual to your machine, it should tell you how to do it.
