These are table mats with clear vinyl cover. I used a 22 gauge plastic and just did a irregular zig zag -several times around the perimeter. These designs are from Turquoise. They are about 6 by 6 inches. If you use painters tape, use sparing, and take off ASAP as it will leave residue. I had to use a walking foot because slippery vinyl.

The designs are cute and working with vinyl can be tricky.

They are cute! Try sewing through waxed paper. The foot will not stick, and it tears off quite easily.

they are very nice. I'm always surprised when I check the projects-tab how creative people can be with their sewing machine

Thank you the nice compliment - but really it is a cheat, but necessary for dusty areas like the mid-west!

You have done a great job with these table mats! Thank you for your advice on using painters tape. The fact that this tape leaves residue it does not encourage me to use it. I have seen a video where this tape has been used a lot, even on the hoop and I don't remember to have seen or heard this important information. Thank you!

These turned out great, and also great for childrens place mats, can just wipe them clean, no need to give them a full wash each time. Hugs Yvonne
