OH!!!I love morning glories.love writing to.Hope you find where is coming from. Are flowers done appliqué technique?
A bunch of flowers for a bag lady.
the morning glory design is from embroidery library...and they are a fill stitch, too! sure looks like applique from a distance, doesn't it!
Good job!! I found another pattern, McCall's #3136. The other one I mentioned earlier was McCall's# 4794. kkcogle, yours looks better. I like the flap longer because it gives more room for a design.
thanks! I actually embroider a piece of fabric, then cut the flap out. That way, I get the design where I want it! One thing I don't like...is following directions. I like to do things MY way...that's why I think I like making my own patterns! I'll have to take a look at the two that you have mentioned.
Boy does this ever sound familiar, doing it my way. Do you know how many things I've to rip stitches out of because I don't go buy the instructions. one can also learn new methods, when they are willing to explore.
I do like that bag. The shape, colors and designs are sew wonderful. *4U
Thanks...when I found the morning glory words design...I just knew I had to do something with them! I love morning glories and grow them every year around the yard.
What a great bag. Love the shape and the colors. It'll be great for spring into summer :o)
Love your saddle bag, you did a wonderful job!!
If you don't mind me asking, what pattern did
you use? Making purses is one of my favorite
past times.
I actually saw a purse on the internet once that I liked, so I cut out a pattern of my own. There are only 4 basic pieces and it is lined as well. I'm so glad you like making purses, too! You can get pretty creative!
