As most of you know my husband is still an Active duty Air Force chaplain. So I know a lot of folks who deploy to the Middle East. I wanted to send them off with somethig tangible as a reminder that we are home praying for them and waiting for them to come home. I came across this ribbon and felt it was perfect. I have sent them with angels, but not all are Christians and believers. I also sent Stars of David with my husband the last time he deployed. The yellow ribbon was with the original colors but my husband wanted it in patriotic colors. I can make it in both colors now so both the deployed Airman has one to take with him/her and the spouse has one to hold onto here at home. I wish I could tell you where I got the design. It was a freebie from a while ago. But I just love the message. I embroidered them on tulle so they could be cut out as a free standing embroidery. They are about 5x5 inches.

Hi.
I found a freebie awareness ribbon without the words on it. www.embroidery-boutique.com.
Hope it will help.

Cecelia, I used the design last night and I stitched out 4 on navy felt in red and then later I had to manually move the designs about in the hoop to stitch Come Home Safe! I had to switch from my desk top to lap top for the lettering. A pain but necessary for me. I am going to try the larger version and I think the lettering will be better. Thank you for looking and also everyone else. Maureen

These are great. Very thoughtful of you to send with deploying troops. I have two overseas. One married to Airman in England. Her husband travels all the time and our son is in Okinawa, Japan. I hope some Cutie is able to find where you got these designs or digitizes the clipart bevintex found.

The yellow ribbon reminded me of the song, "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tee." Very special.

Wow they came out so nice. The red white and blue is so pretty. The yellow pops too. Great job and so thoughtful. I would feel very special someone thought of me enough to give me a ribbon or angel if I were going away far from home. Proud to call you my friend! Suzanne

I love your ribbon.I am going to look for the design. My
ex daughter-in-law is going to Iraq in July with the Black Hawk group stationed in Mobile Army Nat'l Guard. She is the Mother of my only Grand daughter. I made support our troops ribbons for her girls before she left for Ft Hood Tx in April. Please continue with the prayers. Maureen
