I use a product called wonder under to attach design to a thick stabiliser, then satin stitch all around edge and sometimes use it like this and write on back of stabilizer but then its a postcard. to make a card I attach it with double sided tape to card stock. flower for you

Those are sew sweet Anna. Lovely job. Gr8 idea to get started this early. Looks like they are stitched on fabric with a border stitch (satin st) around edge, are they? How are they finished. I need more ideas... Thank you in advance. *'s4U

you guessed right joanie, I first stitch the design on fabric, then cut the size I want, next I apply a very firm stabilizer on the back (have no idea what its called in english but its ideal to use as backing for postcards and sometimes also for the bottom of bags-maybe someone knows how its called, in german we call it 'Postkartevlies' and its from the producer of Vilene but I'm sure other producers make it too, one just needs to check at some shop). If the stabilizer is iron on I just iron it if not (and the actual stabilizer for cards is unfortunately not) I first use the 'Wonder Under' also from Vilene (thats that iron on paper normally used for applique) after this I iron it on the stabilizer and satin stitch around the edge. One can leave it like this and write on the back of the postcard stabilizer itself but it looks like a postcard not a openable card. if one wants a card one can open one has to stick it to a folded piece of cardstock of course. bunch of flowers for you
