Sorry but I cannot help you but a very interesting question. I use Wilcom to change formats but I do not know anything about the ART format.

Here is a free program that will convert to most of the popular formats except .jef. It is easy to use. The download link and a PDF are on the right.

You'll have to find someone with the new version of Artista Software to convert V6 for you. My software is to old and won't convert it. Wilcom's free software (also made by the same company as the Artista) will only convert up to V5.

I just went into the BerinaUSA site and downloaded the -BERNINA 830LE Signature Motif. I then used Winzip to open the download and there was a pes design there. I also downloaded the Crazy Quilt but had no success. Sorry! Lyn

I got them to open with my Floriani software into pes v5. Is it ok to send them to her? I don't want them so I would delete them after sending.

Thank you all ... I tried Pulse, it will not read the Art60 format ... all I get is a blank screen ... tried Stitch era says it can not read the art60 format. My software will not read this either. Never had problems with Pulse before ... can not figure it out. Heres the link. The design is the crazy quilt ... if someone can figure it out.

My digitizing software can convert designs. If you have software check to see if it will convert a design. Also I have seen many others mentioned on this site. I think Buzz Tools and Wilcom are a couple of the names. Try to 'google' "converting embroidery design format" and see if anything comes up. Hope you find something.

Pulse is a great converter Nova:

http://pulsemicro.com/ambassadord...

Pulse Ambassador - How to Convert Machine Embroidery Formats

(1) Set-up a storage location:

Save your downloads to a folder on your PC’s hard drive and name it so it will be easy to find.

Download selected files (embroidery designs).

Extract or open zipped files and save them to the folder.

2) Open Pulse Ambassador:

Open bright yellow file icon near the top left of the screen.

Find the location of the file you want to convert. In “Files of Type”, move the selection arrow down to the format of the file you want to convert.

Open the file you want to convert.

Select “Open”. (A message box will appear regarding resizing - mark “don’t show again” and then select OK.)

The file/design will appear on the screen. At the upper left of the screen select the word “file” and then “save as”.

In “Save as Type” move the selection arrow down to the format you want for your file/design. Save.

Good luck with it. It's really easy once you've done it a few times. Love and blessings Chris

I have heard that sometimes converting the format causes you to lose something in the design. Have you ever found that to be true? Does Pulse do a better job than other converters out there?
Thanks!
