also sticking to the cloud?

Is there a right side and a wrong side to the cloud?
I tried without the pressing cloth and had to peel it off my iron.
So, clearly.... that is not the answer. I had the iron set on wool... as directed.

Thanks, for any assistance.... I find this a puzzle.

A pressing cloth used to be called a Rajah cloth. Its impregnated with something (I forget what) but they're great for ironing creations with, I use mine all the time). There is a right way and a wrong way with the cloth too (printed side up) and you cant wash it - you throw it when its worn out but they last for yearrrrrrs :) xXx

Is Cloud Cover something useful for kids clothes? I stitch most of the designs for my kids on felt and sew it on the clothes (has the advantage that you can recycle it when the kids growing ;o). Both have sensitive skin and I have to admit that I hate one of my pyjamas with a stitched rose on the chest because the backside is so scratchy.
Greetings, Bettina

It is a soft iron on like interfacing, that covers the back of the embroidery so it isn't scratchy.

You need your iron on quite low and the "cloud" should feel slightly rough on the sticky side. Hope your iron comes right.

Thanks.

Yes there is a right and wrong side to the cloud cover. If you look close you should see one side has a coating over it, this is the side you put to the fabric you want it to stick to. But still use the press cloth or the iron does get sticky.

I have found fabric softener sheets (not the foam ones) work well for getting the sticky off the iron, just iron over it a few times with an old towel underneath.

I'm not sure about cloud but most iron-ons are a little shinier or rougher on the side that goes against the fabric. Your cloud stuck to the iron so figure out which way you did it and switch around to the other way. So you don't mess your iron again, do a test between two scraps. Look at the cloud carefully and write down the difference you see on the 2 sides.

There are good iron cleaners that will take the sticky stuff off. Be sure to use a press cloth on everything until you get it all off.

You know... the crazy thing is that I have used cloud a few times in the past without a problem. Seems I was just lucky before. Now, I know better. Thank you for the feedback.
