We have had some scorching days this week, but today we have some wind to cool things down. Thank goodnes. There is a saying "too much of a good thing is not always good" this is how I feel about the heat, wish you and I could swop for just a day. LOL. I live in sunny South Africa.

Thanks for responding and making me smile. I feel guilty for writing this post. Today again it snowed but spring is right around the corner I hope. I do not like extreme heat either. Maybe you should craft those neck coolers that have those water beads in them and you can personalize them with embroidery. Keep cool!! Carolyn

They are not mowing grass here yet but it was a nice sunny day today in Michigan. I love the smell of fresh cut grass and I fortunately don't have allergies. I would love to see Alabama. Sounds like a wonderful place.

I agree that this winter seemed to drag on and we too got quite a bit of snow. Surely not as much as you though. My daffodils are starting to come through the ground now. It is getting warmer. Hope it gets warmer for you soon. ~Carolyn~

765It's springtime in the Rockies. We had another 6 inches of snow last night - ugh - but it is warm and sunny here today and that snow is melting. The icicles are dripping off of our roof. We are now officially into our fifth season. MUD Season. You cannot get in and out of the car without getting a little mud on your jeans. I am taking the kitties out on the deck so they can play in the sun. They don't like getting dripped on by the icicles, though :-) The chickoree squirrels are chasing each other and we have pine grossbeaks, evening grossbeaks, crossbills and brown capped rosy finches at the feeders. I think I can smell spring, but it may be my imagination!

A few years ago when my daughter and I visited Ireland we only had a slight shower on the morning we arrive, weather was beautiful for the next week.
