We are well and safe, and I just talked to my son Yukio, he is also okay. My prayers for the people affected by the earthquake and tsunami. I hope it finishes soon. Angie and Pauline, thank you for your posts, and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Praying for all the people of Japan, this is such a horrible tragedy, so many lives lost and so many unaccounted for. Thank Goodness that your safe and prayers for all the people of Japan. So glad you and yours are okay. Keep us posted.

Dear Cuties, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. So far there are more than 600 death, 800 are missing and more than 1000 people are injuried. This is so sad. Also planes are not landing, the one I take, had to land in Guam yesterday, and I will leave Japan tomorrow.

My girlfriend has a son who teaches English just south of Tokyo. I rang her and she said she has just spoken to him via Skype and he is OK. Thank Goodness.

Yoriko, we are so glad you and son are safe. We have a friend who's wife and daughter are over there in Okinawa and I know that is another island South, but know that they will probably be effected by the tsunami too.

Glad you are safe and your son too! My hubby told me when I woke up this morning and I was shocked! The waves are so bad they will hit California soon. Mother Nature at her best. Volcanoes in Hawaii and Earthquakes in Japan. It is scary!

Yoriko, I am so glad to know that you and your family are ok....I taught about 25 Japanese ladies quilting while they were living here in TN as their hubbies were plant managers in 2 of our local factories. I loved them so much and 5 of them are located in the worst area hit, so I am praying hard for all of them and their families....I learned so much from them and they were the best students I ever had....so you and all the rest of Japan has all of my prayers and thoughts with you today.....

I heard on the news that the west coast here in the USA was going to get alot of the after effects from the Japanese tsunami. When something like this happens it effects the whole world not just the hardest hit! I pray for all who are in direct hit and for all who have love ones involved in it! The news was talking about the huge waves headed toward the West Coast here. When there is a tragic event the whole world is involved. I am glad that your family is safe. You are the first person I thought about when I heard about the tsunami. I was glad to see here that your family is safe, although I feel sure that are very shaken up about it!
