Here are links to 2 sites that give recipes for making your own homemade version of Bubble Jet Set. I, personally, have not used them, but certainly want to try them. (I love the second site.)

The Bubble Jet set works wonders! I have used it several times and the picture always stays through the wash.

I have done several photo memory quilts and I used a photo transfer paper for T-shirts, I found it at Walmart! Print on the sheet, set with a hot iron, peel paper off. Good luck !

marthie maybe you can do a goggle search or whatever your search site is for help on locating it in your area.

This works - but the product is stiff and shiny. The bubble jet method is brilliant.

obaachan by obaachan 19 Feb 2011

there is a matte finish one that is not stiff and shiny.

This bubble jet method sounds cool..I'll have to try it on the next one I do ! Thanks for the info!

My sister uses a special transfer paper and its heat set so it doesn't wash away.

You have to buy the special transfer sheets, or make your own sheets using the special bubble jet set. You should be able to buy them in the quilt shops. I like to make my own using the bubble jet set as the ready made sheets are to stiff for what I like. Here is a photo of a bag I made a few years ago with my grandson on it.
