I love it. I just love to use sheets for garments especially night wear. After a few washes they feel so great against the skin.
I love the design and your layout. Will be looking for something to try for myself
Thank you. I find many nice designs and colors in sheets and you get more fabric for your buck.
Thanks for showing us. Lets me think that many moons ago I made my cloths with sheet material and I always got complimants on my "nice" material.NOBODY could quess.
NICE! I use curtains a lot too to make things...after all, it's only fabric ;D *2U
To mad14kt- Look at my project, "Claire's Dress". It was made out of a shower curtain, however it was a new s/curtain that I got on a clearance rack for , get this, $7. !!! already embroidered! The green jacket is a small wale corduroy that I purchased for $1.50 a yard and I made reversible with the brown curtain material. I plan to make her slacks out of the green to match the jacket in reverse. To Joann, I repeat * to you for your nice work. Toogie
I think you did a wonderful job Jo. I especially like the way you used the designs incorporating what I believe is the sheet header. Well done!/LillianLill
Joann , There is NO way I would've guessed you made this from a sheet! Seriously??? Oh my GOSH what creativity!!! Well Done! Kathy
Joann, what a Great idea, and you did such a good job too! All the lines look just perfect on the front, the sleeves and what I can see, the collar lays nicely as well! Sending you an A++ & a * too! I love to shop Green, would do it more if the shops weren't an hour away...Thanks for sharing...Trudy/GA
You did a great job and I like the material of the sheet
now that is a great shirt... wow... love the sheet you used .. good eye..
I am not above reusing used items, and I especially like the good "deals". Look at my deer vest that I just uploaded. It came from a local Thrift Shop for $1. I like the fact that if something goes wrong with my emb. I am not out much and my grand-daughter loved it today when I gave it to her!* for you!
Wow, Joann, what talent and eye for fashion. I could certainly see this in a boutique!! Big * for you!!
Great stuff - I've made jackets out of Indian bedspreads and they (like your shirt) are unique!
Great job and great idea on the sheets. It is easier to buy sheets that don't need to be ironed than to buy material that doesn't need it.
Joann, you are an excellent seamstress. Great job. I've used sheets to make bedspreads and quilt backing, but I don't think I've used them for clothing. Excellent idea. I like the patchwork look.
It looks great! Your pic turned out fine too. I'll bet this will become one of your favorites before long! Setting in sleeves has never been my favorite thing to do so I tend to stay away from them. A+ for you!
Joann, this is lovely and had you not told us - I would have thought this was a designer shirt - with several fabrics to make it. *4U
Looks good...it is so nice to know other people shop green (thrift stores)
Excellent, what a great idea and marvellous job you have made of it. Keep up the great work.
wow good job i know the goodwill store has some very good deals if you watch .Good for you carolyn
Very nice shirt. I like all the movement of the design
I like very much. And the use of a sheet is a wonderful idea. I used to by pretty percale sheets many years ago to make lightweight sun dresses for my daughter and myself. One pattern used was straight bodice, gather right above the breast and 1 1/2 inch shoulder straps, it wasn't to revealing that we could not use it to go to a church function, not like some of the reavealing fashions today.
Yeah this is the right fabric for the warmer days. It could be buttoned or left open as a top shirt.
