I have a friend whose son is married to a Russian lady. They are expecting their first baby at the end of January. As they haven't picked a name yet, I couldn't personalise the blanket but mixed sunbonnets and russian dolls.I put 'Welcome' in English and Russian on the maiddle square.Thought this was the easiest way to combine the two cultures.

It is white bridal satin.I got a whole roll of it about 11years ago with 40metres at50p a metre (£20for the lot).Couldn't let it go at that price and have made lots of blankets, cushions and bottle aprons from it.Have about 4 metres left and am going to miss it when it is all gone, LOL.
