I always loved dressing up the doll, even got a doll for Christmas a couple years ago; not American Girl but same size. Wish I still had the Barbie clothes my grandmother made. 23222I hope they treasure them and maybe one day they will recognize the love with which they were made. Probably 47 - 50 years ago my grandmother made my sister and I "Barbie" clothes. A whole warerobe including a wedding dress. I always loved them but never really understood her LOVE until it was time to make "Barbie" clothes for my daughters. All those tiny seams and ribbons and lace. A bet she felt the same way. I would NEVER let my daughters play rough with the clothes she made and if they didn't take care of them I put them away and they only played with theirs. I have made some baby doll clothes for my grandchildren and they really enjoy them.
