So sorry about your hand, just please don't use it until it is really healed. In September '07 I broke my hand in 3 places and tore the ligaments and tendons, but kept trying to do things instead of nursing it, now 5 months later it still hasn't healed properly and is still very painful. Seems we women never learn so perhaps i can help you with this advice, please don't use it, even for typing or using your mouse, rest, rest and more rest, it will heal more completely and much quicker. cheers and commiserations with empathy, Meganne

It must be very frustrating and disappointing. Just think of all the fun you will have here. Store up the information. A good time to study up and read directions and maybe do some small things to get yourself organized. Hope it is better soon.

Oh, Mandy, so so sorry! You must feel like a kid that got a new bike for Christmas & there's 2 feet of snow outside! I hope your hand doesn't hurt too much, & that we can keep you entertained for a while till it heals. Best thoughts for healing winging your way, and flowers for all. Marji

Was it your right hand or your left? Which do you use the most? I am sorry to hear of your pain, I was just wondering how limited you are, so maybe I can make some suggestion to help. A hug and flowers for all.

Such a shame, but maybe you can use this time to make plans for future projects.download new designs , and visit with us. I know you will enjoy your new machine. Here's a flower to help you to accept your delay. ( wish I could give you a bunch instead.)

Oh, bless your heart. I can't imagine how frustrated you must be. If I may make a suggestion, this would be a good time to "plan" out your projects. I have a folder on my desktop that is "Ideas for embroidery". Which houses basically those things I want to do when I get a chance. I also have a "my projects" file in my actual embroidery files, when I put those designs that I have added monograms to, or put several designs together that I want to stitch out. It helps me remember what it was that I started. Those 2 things are what I do when I'm not able to sew. Keep checking in here and let us know your progress. ;)

How organized you are! I may be just a little jealous. I have just started trying to keep everything in folders, and will get there someday! Good ideas.

imandy2 by imandy2 27 Feb 2008

hi, I have already started putting all my downloads into a folder. I do hope it makes everything easier to find. I will have to back everything up though, I don't want to lose it now it is downloaded

Oh, Mandy, I've got tears in my eyes - for you to have a new *toy* and not be able to play is catastrophic to say the least, haha! I do so hope that your hand heals quicker than quick, and that you'll soon be playing to your heart's content on that new machine. In the meantime we'll try to keep you amused here. Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it here as much as we do. Healing hugs and flowers to you.

imandy2, one day your hand will heal and you will be able to use it again - until then - keep busy with other things - enjoy yourself, learning and ready what others say and think. A flower for you. What sort of machine did you get?
