sorry for you loss of your son,and yes you are so right, alcohol an drugs don't go together with driving. And it is proven in these cases very often the driver who used drugs or alcohol and who causes the danger is most of the time not the one who gets injured of even killed.
Thank you for posting this very true advice!!hugs and prayers for you and family.

So sorry for your loss. That must be the most dreadful thing to happen to any parent. I agree no one should drink and drive. It's sinking in slowly here in Australia, we have had the lowest Christmas drink/driving deaths for years.

Thank you for your courage in bringing this subject up. Love and blessings Chris

Thanks for the reminder, and as others have said, very courageous & caring of you. I'm a little tired today from going out to pick up my 19yo from a party at 2am. Very happy to do so, of course -thank goodness we can learn from others bad experiences.

Hi Marianne,

Good on you. I've got to tell you that it doesn't change either even when they are married!!!! All our children have on occasion rung us to ask us to pick them up as they can't get taxi's - so guess who goes and gets them???!!!!!! Love Chris

My prayers are with you during this holiday season. Losing a child must be one of the most difficult things in life. I too, was hit by a drunk driver, when I was a teen, but I lived without too much damage. I pray that the driver changed his ways and no longer drinks.
Love and God's blessings to you and yours.

Such good advise. I am so sorry that you had to loose your son and I wish more people would listen and stay of the roads after drinking. Also don't let anyone leave your home that had been drinking.

This must have been awfully hard. Sorry for you loss. God Bless you and keep the rest of your family safe. I agree DON'T drink and drive. Always have a designated driver. Please all drivers focus on your driving and not your phone or other items in you vehicle or the people you are with. May the Good Lord watch over all tonight and every night.

My der - I will be praying for you - New Years is a time when many drink - it is so sad to realize that they would also drive - hopefully - they will have someone else drive if they drink, nor should htey use their cell phone or text while driving.

Sorry for the loss of our son. No one should ever drink and drive OR text OR talk on the cell phone While driving. It is so dangerous to take your eyes off the road for even a second. Don't do it at all! Stay safe!Suzanne
