that Santa would not be able to find her to leave her presents. She just could not fall asleep because she was so worried. Well, on Christmas Eve just after she went to bed one of Santa's elves visited and left a little ITH teddy bear for her promising that Santa knew where she lived and would leave her presents there. She was able to sleep that night as long as she had the teddy bear with her. And Santa did find her and leave here presents in her new home. That is Christmas for me.

Isn't that what Christmas is all about. You are a wonderful elf to do that for a that little girl. God bless you. If only there were more people in the world like you. Hugs Lynn

Awww! This brought a tear to my eye! How sweet of you to make her fears go away about Santa coming or not! She will always remember this kindness when she gets older and passes down the story of what you did for her!

I think a ITH teddy from an elve is great. & one the child can use each year as I get my fosterchildren to write letters & post to Santa, some have posted theirs to Santas Christmas Tree at a local shopping store when they are staying home.

I can imagine that really was the highlight of Christmas for you. What a great feeling, to have been able to help her settle in her new home. It's always so much more fun to give than receive and what perfect circumstances. Enjoy the glow that it brought -you deserve it.

What a sweet thing to do. Tell me about moving in Dec. I can remember at least 3 times taking the Christmas tree down from one house and putting it back up again in new home. Of course they were artificial, but what a chore. Kay

What a wonderful thing to do. I'm sure her parents were thrilled at the aspect someone cared enough to share something as simple as a teddy bear to ease their child's insecurities about being in a new home at Christmas. God Bless you, Karen

Hi Karen - you've given my addiction real meaning.
Not only did the little girl have a wonderful Christmas and an absolutely magic ITH teddy bear, via Santa's Elf, but you have given me inspiration and a desire to create similar ITH t-b's for important 'work' during the coming year.
Your thoughtfulness will spread a long way further than you imagine.
Thank you for your story which has topped off my wonderful Christmas here in America, too.

That is a sad fact in America. I live in MT and it is not as true here, people still know each other, but it is not the same as it was when I was a child.

How wonderful :o)
Such a small thing as a little teddy can solve the "big problem" for a kid and make them sleep so save and deep.
Would like to see you in the nice elve-stockings (in my imagination they are always in red and white stripes ;o) *lol*
Thanks to you for doing that! Isn't it wonderful that we can make something like a little teddy with our machines in such a short time and help somebody in need so much?
Greetings, Bettina

You have such a big heart for making a child do happy. That's what Christmas is all about; making a child happy and fulfilling their dreams. Jesus did. When you bless a child you always get blessed back. Thank you for reaching out to a child.she will never forget it. God bless you in many ways. That's the reason we have embroidery machines; to bless others in the way that God wants us to. roberta
