This is one of those designs that isn't quite an optical illustion, but rather a negative illusion. Read the negative space. You should be able to see the world Jesus. Many thanks to Carolyn Lawton for her testing and doing the stitchouts on this design. The photos show 2 ways to stitch it out. The first is just two colors, and has a ribbon place at the top horizontally as an ornament, the second has some ribbons in the end to be used as a bookmark. She made them in the hoop with felt. Don't they look nice? Carolyn suggested I digitize color stops so you have more options for color changes. Thank you Carolyn!

Thank you very much. I'll shrink it a tiny bit with Wilcom so that I can use it in my 4x4 hoop.

I really had fun doing these. I too remembered them from childhood and was looking for them in embroidery. Thank you so much for the opportunity to test stitch.

I love this design... My dad had a wooden one of these, made out of popsicle sticks, when I was growing up. Is there anyway you could do one for a 4x4 hoop in pes?
