I'm with Dolly, lots of snow, big winds, and it's going down to 7 degrees F (heaven only knows what that is in C, Aussies, but it's *cold*) this weekend. Ha ha, Jrob, we're not in Alaska! I'm up on Lake Erie, in Erie, PA, between Buffalo & Cleveland. Believe it or not, sometimes it's warmer in Alaska than it is here. And last week we had about 3 feet of snow, that's pretty normal here. Y'all have it good in the South, hee hee, except for those darn tornados! I'll keep the snow, thanks. And Raels, thanks so much for thinking of us. Are you in the drought part of Australia? Heard some parts there are having real problems with no rain. Take care, everyone. Marji

Marji, your 7 degrees F sounds colder in centigrade - minus 14 deg C!!! My brain froze over just thinking about it. And 3-feet of snow! We had snow last winter (we do about once every ten years or so) - it got to about 3mm (0.118 inches) deep and lasted about 30 minutes, then the sun melted it, haha!!! Most of Australia is in a drought, has been for 10-years. I am in a very badly affected area and we can only use water outside the house in an emergency i.e. if the house is burning down. We are only allowed to wash the windscreen and headlight glass of the cars, and only with a brush, not allowed to use a hose at all. We are re-using as much of our water as possible, from the shower (3-minutes only), washing machine, hand washing etc, we have buckets everywhere! And there is no cheating, the *water police* roam the streets and can walk onto our property, unannounced, anytime to check, and we are being encouraged to ‘dob’ on water-wasting neighbours. Our local lake is completely dry, it was a nature reserve for waterbirds, but they have had to move elsewhere, it’s very bleak. Last year we walked across the dry lakebed, that’s how dry it is. We’re hoping for some rain this winter. You people seem to have too much *wet* and we have too much *dry*, pity we can’t trade. But that’s life and we learn to just get on with it don’t we. Have a beautiful day everyone.

So pleased to hear that all you lovely folks are okay. Hope it stays that way, and when all the storms abate hoping the rest of your winter will be mild. Flowers to warm your heart everyone.

We are Okin Florida, but expecting storms this evening. I had to call my family in Texas and they did not get much of the storm. The tornadoes hit Arkansas and Tennesee. I was told that my work associates were hit in Jackson Tenn, but we have not heard of any deaths involved. Thank you so much for asking.

there have been over 50 deaths.. I live 30 miles south of the Tennessee border and we have had severe storms.

Glad you are okay - Florida missed the storms last night. But it has been very hot here the last few days - mid-80's and I think that at this time of year this can lead to severe storms.

Maryland is fine so far with possible severe thunderstorms tonight. One of the mid-southern states got hit pretty bad.
