Welcome to Cute.I had no idea where to even start on FSL. These ladies walked me through it and now I love it. Will attempt a Santa Box next.

I think a good site to buy the wss from is http://www.worldweidner.com/embro...
This is best to do FSL with Vilene Water Soluble. it is $9.99 for a large roll and they ship free.

kaco, it looks like you got some good info - try it - you will enjoy it - if the first one doesn't work - try again - it is only thread and WSS (water soluable stabiliser). Hehehe!

I must say that I finally tried fsl just this past month and it went better then I expected. The candle craze got me started and I need to have 15 for the 19th!!!! Good luck. You'll enjoy it, I know that I do.

Do you meen FSL? (Free standing lace.)
There are lots of people here who are experts to advise you, but basically you embroider it just the same as anything else but you use a stabiliser which dissolves in water instead of fabric. When the stitching is finished, dip it in water and watch the magic happen!
