I have a Janome 300E and a SanDisc. I have put embroidery on it, but can't seem to get to them. Should I have initialised the Disc first?

Janam, I too have a Jonome E300..Love it and I use the san disk also.. When I take a file and move it from the Emb5 file I just create a new folder on the SanDisc and name it. Thant way when I need that design again it is already on the Disc and I don't have to go and search for it. Good Luck,

Yes, you do need to format it first in your 300E. Formatting will put an EMB5 file on your sanisc, all designs should be loaded into this file.

When you remove designs from your card, be sure and not remove the EMB5 file or you will need to reformat again.

I am so glad that there are people on this forum that knew that answer. I didn't have a clue! What a great community we are growing here. =]

Yes, you need to format the disc before putting any designs on it. If you have any difficulty then contact me on mellgree@hotmail.com Peter at Janome (Stockport UK) told me how to do this.
