my right leg returned to normal, but now up in the right high hip. Does this Sciatia travel? Off of pain pills that was another story, big withdrawal symptoms. It's been a long over 1 mo., maybe back to normal.

Hi The sciatia is a nerve at the base of your spine. When it is inflammed it travels down the to the leg musle. You had leg trouble and the inflamation is going away so it is now it's traveling back to the hip area. As soon as the hip goes down it will be back to the bottom of the spine. It travels from the back to the leg and reverses itself when you feel better. Tell the doctor about it anyway. Don't pick up anything heavy at all not even the laundry basket. Hope you feel better soon I know it's a long proscess fron experience. Suzanne

Yes, aren't those cart mart's wonderful! I've been so thankful that Wal Mart has these. If it hadn't been for them I wouldn't have been able to do my own shopping.
After I broke my arm 2 years ago, once it healed it seems I've had one thing after another happen. The
Dr. says there's nothing wrong with my back. I just couldn't stand in the kitchen to make anything or even peel potatoes for more than a couple minutes at a time and then would have to sit down. My husband (who was not used to doing the shopping even though he always took me) had to go and get whatever we needed - thank goodness for cell phones! I couldn't carry a purse so would put my change purse with license and whatever else I had to carry into my pocket. I was finally able to go shopping a little bit if I used the cart to lean on. We left Wal Mart shopping till last as they had the "ride em carts".
So you use the cart mart - it will really make a big difference for you.

Ah yes, 9/11, a day I think no one will forget! Last year I had my lung surgery on 9/10 and that is how I will always remember when I had the surgery!
Good luck with the aches and pains, hope you are pain free soon!

Yea! This is real progress. I kmow it is a long process, but this really is good news. The pain in the hip may be bursitis from your abnormal gait. How do I know this, because it happened to me. Be sure to let your doctor know about the pain in your hip. If it is bursitis it may need to be treated. Be careful about how much weight you are carrying when shopping. The motorized cart is a good idea. And don't carry a big purse. I have used a fanny pack in the past and now have a small leather back pack to distribute the weight. Not very feminine, but saves my back.

I've never had it go up into my high hip area. Usually it travels down your leg. Very painful, I know and sometimes takes a long time to heal.

I have had a problem with my lower back since the beginning of the summer. I have been going to my chiropractor and getting acupuncture for about a month now and I am very close to being back to normal. I love my chiropractor, I wish I could adopt him!!!
