I just checked the design in my machine- 4.0 X 3.4 to be used in my A hoop-( 5.0 X 4.3) Janome-don't know if all this helps you or not ~~linda~~

I checked the A and it gives the following as size: Size (in): 3.98"(w) x 3.39"(h)
Size (mm): 101mm(w) x 86mm(h)
