I was just reading a tip about using monofilament thread in the bobbin for FSL. What do all the FSL makers think about this. Thanks for any information. It is all about learning. Gayle

Gayle, I don't know the answer to this, but I can tell you what I've experienced using mono thread in bobbins with regular sewing, and the picture isn't pretty. I've always been told not to use mono thread in bobbin. However, that being said, I buy special bobbin thread for embroidery and it is very thin and similar to mono thread, so it is possible it could be used with embroidery. There might be some tension adjustments, maybe? I'd be interested in what others say. I'm marking your question so I can check back. Like you say it's all about learning. Thanks for this question...Terre

Gayle, I have never tried it - but Carolyn (noah) uses it alot. I just like the way that the front and back look exactly the same - with embroidery thread in the top and the bobbin, unless I want it to look "Old World" - then I use serger thread. *4U Shirlene

I'm curious what the answers will be.....I would think that the monofilament would be too thick, but I could be wrong.....looking forward to reading the answers.
