I use to belong to a quilting group and each member was allocated a month. Eg: January was my month and everyone in the group had to send/give me a quilted block of something of my choice. You get to choose the colours and theme and then everyone sends you their contribution. It is up to you to finish them as you see fit.

Would anyone be interested in participating in a round-robin of embroidery???? It can be such fun and the contributors have to give their name and location. All those that participate would end up with embroidered blocks from cuties all over the world!!!!

Sounds like a fun thing to do, however with so many of us you would need to do some sort of roster otherwise we would need to embroider hundreds of blocks if a large number take part, or there wouldnt be any time for any other sewing lol.
keep me posted Ruth

This would be nice but I cannot keep up with all I have to do now & I wouldn't be able to do as I have the past couple of weeks. Just leave town & go hither, thither & yon with no machine. Just my DH & a laptop & clothes. I am still on the road but will be returning home soon. A once in a while special project I can do with joy but do not want to be committed to almost daily work & with as many as we are there are more than 200 of us I believe that would be a lot of blocks. *

I would like to have more information on this. It does sound like fun. However there are many of us and only 12 months so maybe we would all need to do one block a week. Keep us posted as to how this can work out. Hugs, Mary

I think this sounds lovely and fun also....Like everyone else though, with soooo many cuties here there would have to be 4 or more per month in order to work this out equally and fairly for all....But I am in for this adventure.....deanna

Hi Fiona,

I love round robins. I'll be in on it. I just hope we get several people to do it. It is great too when you can choose your own theme!

Love and blessings Chris

Now this sounds like a lot of fun! You could choose quilt squares and make a 'quilt as you go' rag quilt and it could end up looking phenomenal!

Oooh, I do love the sound of this. But hey, what if you left it up to everyone else to choose what they send you? Then you would end up with a gift, even more unique, based on everyone's ideas of how they perceive what you would like.

I like this idea very much.

Sounds interesting. I too would like more information committing to such a project. How many blocks would we really be responsible for?

Am I understanding this correctly....12 months in a year....each person makes 1 block a month and sends to 1 Cutie selected for that month, that takes care of 12 Cuties what about everyone else involved in the swap? I'm interested but need more info.

Fionna, that sounds like lots of fun. Can we get more info on what it entails? So if I pick: green, red, and cream with roses or hearts. Then I would get block of cream with embroidered red and green roses & hearts?
