My mother is 85 today and I made her this card : the numbers and the oval frame are appliqued in floral fabric and the rest of the design is embroidered; the outer frame is paper and card - I scanned the fabric and printed it out on an A4 sheet which I then glued onto card, cut out the aperture and stitched the embroidery in with toning thread. Love
