I was looking for lovely, but simple embridery designs, like angels and birds and sweet things that Mothers are made of. I found some from our lovely cuties here on freebies by cuties. But have major problem if someone can help me please. My computer crashed a while ago and I cannot get my Vikant Ultimat Box working??? I downloaded the driver (for usb) from their site, the little green lite now goes on, but nothing opens? If I don't get this fixed I will be very very limited to what designs that I can use (outlines of design cards purchased for my Husqvarna #1+). Do we have any computer geeks out there that could help me please. Thank you. Oh change on Mom's chemo.. this is an update from one of my sisters: Sunday, May 16 update...

I just returned home from 3 days in Wainwright visiting Mom and Dad. Mom started another round of chemo on Friday 14th. Her schedule for chemo will be 3 Friday's in a row of chemo, 1 week off, 3 Fri's of chemo, 1 week off and 3 Fri's of chemo with several blood tests done through out. (The chemo is being done in Lloydminster.) She has to take her temperature every day to make sure that it doesn't go over 38c. If that happens, then she's off to emergency immediately. So far she's doing great with no nausea from the chemo.

Good news is that she cast her walker aside on Saturday and has been walking on her own (albiet slowly and carefully). She does though require assistance on the stairs which she is still finding to be very strenuous and challenging. And we went for a short walk to the end of the block and back ... with her hanging onto my arm for support of course. So in a nutshell.... Mom is doing amazing.

And Dad is amazing me with his geniune interest in cooking. I showed him how to make "Shipwreck" and how to cook liver and onions in tinfoil in the oven (which he loves!). It's funny to watch him "hover" over Mom, we're seeing a side of him that we've never seen before. It's kind of endearing!

How precious, to imagine your Dad 'hovering' in an endearing manner. Miss my parents so much.
Glad your Mom is doing so well. Sounds like they are both handling thing very well.
Prayers for you and for them, too. Get well!
(Would also like to know what is 'shipwreck')?

Good to hear things are progress well for you Mom. Hope it continues. Dad's can do more than we sometimes give them credit for. Yes, I have to also ask, What is Shipwreck?

Joanie chemo lowers the resistance to other bugs so stay away from mom. It's great to hear the progress you mom is making. BTW what in the world is shipwreck. *

Joannie, can't help with the computer, but will continue to pray for your Mom & Dad as well as the rest of you.
It is wonderful to see couples that care so much and will do whatever it takes to make the other one comfortable. You are lucky to have such great parents. God bless, Judy

I am sorry to hear you are not well, but glad to hear that your moms chemo is not causing any nausia so far. Your parents sound like very strong people. As far as your computer problem I think you should post this in General. Not too many people read the personals. I hope you feel better soon.

Joannie, I will be praying for you to get better - for you to find a helper to fix your PC and for you to get some designs. Of coarse I will continue to pray for your Mother and her recovery - what a routine she has going on. Glad to hear that she is getting stronger, too. Good for your Dad to do these little things, too.
