I really like the towel holders, but have never done them. How do you do them as they go off the towel? Do you add another piece of fabric to the front/back and above the actual towel? Joyce

I love them too, but have not tried them yet. Good luck with yours.

I bought some from Smart Needles and found their instructions very easy to follow. They are great fun to stitch and make a welcom and unusual present for new babies. In fact I'm quite addicted to them now!

No, but the origin of my name is an interesting story and it's been a family name for 5 generations now. I'm hoping my granddaughters will carry it on as well. I think they will when they hear the tale.

there are instructions on smartneedle.com under projects. I like to put mine on the middle edge of the towel rather than a corner. I also put the top of the design just on the edge of the towel or put my applique fabric there. And just before the final satin stitching place another piece of fabric on the back. I use spray adhesive to secure the fabric, then you don't have to change bobbin. Have fun.

I did the kiwi and the strawberries towel holders, using the same fabric on front and back from the beginning, so both sides look the same. This requires you to change the bobbin color with each color change, but I like the result.
