Claude, I am sure what you have in mind - will work out wonderfully - but use the links - that have been provided - you might find something that you can add to make it even better - I copied these pretty pillows - a couple months back.

Thank you Shirlene, it was exactly the first picture that I was looking for, I think to sew a lace around the cushion rather than hem . I will write on it the fornames of the 2 bride

When my sons got married, I made the ring pillows out of satin from my wedding dress (I only had sons -- what else was I going to do with it?). That in itself made it special, because my mother (their grandmother) had made the dress for my wedding. I embroidered the bride's first name and the groom's first name, with the wedding date underneath their names. I did the work in silver metallic thread. By the time I added a ribbon to tie the rings on it, there really was not much room for anything else, but I would recommend using silver metallic or tone on tone thread for any work you do on it, as it makes it more elegant. Also, think of ways to make the pillow really special -- for one son's pillow, I found some hand tatted lace his great grandmother had made, and used it in the lace around the pillow.
You are a special grandmother to do this for your grandsons, and I know these will turn out beautifully and be treasured by the bride and groom!
Blessings,
Diane

Below is a link to the ring pillow I made for my brother's wedding.

The second link will take you to Ehow, a website where you can find out how to do just about anything.
It should bring you straight to the search results for ring pillows. Don't forget to check out the advertisements on the pages too.

Hugs n roses, Meganne
