Sounds like psssst has the answer for you. Look at the file type of the files that do or do not work. For instance, .ZIP might bring up the Adobe message but .HUS and .PES may work as you wish. .PDF will usually default to Adobe, .TXT to Word or Wordpad. If this is the problem, then her suggestion should fix it just fine. Please let us know what does or does not work and we can try to help you more if still needed.
HTH, Lois

Like one person mentioned you might try to re-install Adobe Reader.Sometimes with a 'hard' shutdown some files get messed up and need to be re-installed.As for everything being huge..you might try going into the control panel,on mine (Vista but XP and 98 are about the same) I click on 'Personalization", then click on 'Display Settings' and change the size of your screen. If you have the option to restore your computer to an earlier date, like right before the power problem. For that you go into programs, accessories, system tools, and click on system restore and follow the directions.

Try right clicking on the design to download and > save target as
at least that will get you some of the designs.
Go to your embroidery files and choose a design
right click go down to properties and see what program is used to open the design if it says adobe then change it, there should be a pop up that asks if you want this program to handle all these types of files
yes
If all else fails you may have to try a system restore

Don't think this is it but try just in case. Go up to Tools and click on pop up blocker. Turn it off and try to download.

This is confusing adobe doesn't read emb files. Right click on the file and choose open with then choose your normal program that you use to open emb files. You should get a prompt that asks if you want to make this the preference yes
Huge pages/icons?
Look in the bottom right hand corner of the web page there is a magnifying glass and it should say 100% next to it > if it doesn't change it to 100%
if it does then
click on start> control panel> display> appearance> font size normal
Try these and let me know if it works or not

I don't know what happened, it is crazy. It will download from some sites just fine, but others, (most) it gives me this message and I don't have any options.
Thank for the help. The size question was an easy fix. I was hoping the same for the adobe problem.
Thanks!

I would also try to download and reinstall adobe. Two things on text size. Down in the lower right hand corner is a tiny black arrow and a number to the left of it. It should say 100. If not, click on arrow and change it. Or..Go to top and click on View. Go down to text size and see what it is set on. Click on smaller one. Mine is on medium. Good luck. Nanc

As far as the size is concerned on my screen WindosXP on the right hand lower corner there is a % sign. In my case 100%. This is where it changes the size. Good luck with all.
