Since 2/24/10 I have had the following:

1. Sleep study that revealed sleep problems that are preventing me from getting adequate rest & in turn, are causing increased stress on my heart
2. Foot surgery to correct a bunion -- healing nicely from that; it was on 3/17, and I'm able to walk on it, but still have to wear the "surgical shoe" for support (had to have a pin put in the bone). Sore, but mobile!
3. A sudden drop in blood pressure that landed me in the Dr. office, and, ultimately scheduled for a cardiac stress echo (to be done this Fri. 4/16) -- 'course, I can't do the treadmill since I'm post op foot surgery, so my heart rate will be elevated with medication instead of physical exertion -- o.k., gang, keep the crash cart handy! LOL
4. and, thanks to the results of item #1, I'm scheduled for another night at the hospital on this Sat. 4/17, to be outfitted with a CPAP machine. (and, I'm just jumping for joy at the idea of my DH and I both having machines and masks humming away; he has sleep apnea, and already uses a CPAP) Can you just see it?? His and Hers CPAPs!!! How romantic!!! LOL
I did tell my DIL that there was a bright side to it, though -- if burglars break in our house at night, all we have to do is just sit up in bed, and they will be scared out of their wits! They'll think they've broken in on Martians or something!! LOL
Ah, I just have to stick to seeing the humor in all of it...!

Prayer going up for you! Aging may not be for sissies but we cuties are tough - and God is able.

Try to keep an open mind about the CPAP - I have used one for 6-7 years now and I was fortunate enough to have a close friend who referred to her CPAP as a friend she loved, and a blessing! At first I thought that was crazy but as I got used to mine, I realized that the quality of sleep IS a blessing, and believe it or not you do get used to it. Her words helped me to stick with it through nights of ripping it off in frustration.

Your experience may be different but...The love of God is the same, yesterday, today and forever.

Bless you.

What a beautiful attitude you have! I will add you to my prayer list, but I know that God already knows your needs and has taken control. As Bette Davis said,"getting old isn't for sissies." and I'd just like to add, "AMEN!"

Lord as she mentioned the different things that are a concern to her above. I ask that you bind up each and every condition, situation, opposition, etc. that is coming against her or her family. I curse every illness at the root. I loose BLESSSINGS and GOOD REPORTS upon her life. Allow her to see that it is ALL working for her good. I didn't say it was good but it's working for the GOOD of CHRIST. Keep her in GOOD spirits. Lord I THANK you in advance for what you are about to do that was amaze the medical physicians and cause someone to come to Christ. I've NEVER seen the righteous forsaken or his seek begging bread. We are not beggars but a KING'S KID. Humbly I say in Jesus Name, AMEN! *2U

It's great to have a sense of humour to deal with all the things that we face in life. Seems things seem to happen to us, not one at a time, but rather in groups, sheesh. I hear you on the dual CPAP machines. Thought I was going to have to have one also. The first time my hubby wore his, our german shepherd pup came in the room, suddenly stopped and GROWLED!! I told him to hush, it was ok, that Dad was pretending to be Darth Vader. LOL, poor dog, I wonder what he must of been thinking! Keep those spirits high :)

What a great sense of humor! Will keep you in my prayers!
Maybe we should all begin life as old people, and get progressively younger!? No, no, no. Then we couldn't talk in the end...

Don't you just love this aging process. I've given up on "aging gracefully". I'm gong kicking and screaming into older age. Well, moaning from pain and wishing I could kick anyway. Hang in there and know that those who love you are glad you are around even if you move funny and look like Martians.

Come ON>>>. Don't you know how hard it will be for us to put you back together again...my arms won't reach all over the world. So you better try and take care of yourself..
Maybe sleep inside the front door, save the robbers the trouble of going into every room only just to drop the lot at your bedroom door...hehehe...
I also have a CPap machine, but naughty me don't use it now....
Anyway I am thinking of you, hugs Kerry. Get Better OK.

Yep.does sound like you're starting to fall apart...lol but believe me you're not by yourself there. Do hate that you're having so many things happen to you at once, will add you to my prayer list as we can't have our "Cuties" falling apart. Hope your stress test turns out okay. Do have a blessed day and don't worry or stress out so much.
