Embossed designs can be in similar colours, it depends on the person them self. You can also just stitch the design in 1 colour, or change the border which is normaly the last stitchout colour of the design. It is up to you and the person that you are stitching them for - have fun - Hugs Yvonne

11877Hi I would use a color a bit darker than your towel if you want to use a similiar color. I have dome white towels in a very light grey and they came out really nice. The thing is to have fun! If you are not sure do a sample on a piece of material or old towel. Then hold it up to your towel to look at it. If you like it go for it. Hope that helps you! Suzanne
