Hi Cica - where in South Africa do you stay. I'm afraid very few of us can say that we have escaped crime in our beautiful country. We've also learned the hard way that to have security is a necessity. Believe me ours even sms us if the power fails. But my hasband said that he never wants to be waken with a pstyol held against his family's head - ya so fort knox is our destiny. At least we did not loose materially but when we had a break in they entered through my daughters bedroom window. It is . Eleenheartbreaking to still see her insecurity and trauma although it happend 3 years ago. I feel so sorry for you but if I can help in any way - not to bad with computers and if near enough I will gladly help

Oh No! This is just horrible! I see that you have gotten many great resopnses andhelp from our fellow cuties! I hope that you are able to retrieve most of your designs! I dare say, it will be a long, drawn out process to get them all back. I wish you much luck and many prayers!

Hi Cicadamn, I just remembered that if you have purchased designs from other sites many of them keep records of your purchases. When you e-mail them and tell them your problem they will replace your designs. Hope this helps!! H&*

i found a set of folders entitled Embroidery Catagories it is on Club OPW Yahoo Groups. Just scroll down unde files and you will see it listed there. Do not know website. but I am sure if you go to OPW Embroidery Mall there will be a place to join the group.

Horrible they took not only your computer - bad as that is in itself - but your back-ups as well. I hope you can build a new collection, although downloading will take ages.

YOU CAN ALWAYS START BY LOOKING IN OUR FREEBIE TAB AND HEADING OVER TO THE BOOKMARK SECTIONS ...SO SORRY...i DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES WE HAVE BEEN STOLEN FROM.....MOSTLY MY HUSBANDS WORK TOOLS....WE EVEN HAD THEM STEEL OUR WHEEL BARRELS AND HAUL EVERYTHING DOWN THE ROAD IN THEM.....

Do U live in South Africa by anychance??? It is so bad here but it is our home and we could not live anywere ells.

I know the feeling. I was burlarized in July; they took my laptop which housed 4 years of design. I know how violated you feel. Some designs are irreplaceable.

Everyone knows that i am a computer dodo, but i can make folders and you can too. first make a folder called Cica's Designs in my documents or wherever you prefer then make folders for each website you collect from. As you collect, make sub folders for categories such as animals, birds, butterflies and Christmas. first thing you know you have you own filing system. good luck sweetie.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I give you the URL of the site Kezza2sew were speaking about. I had a look but it changed completely since I last had a look at it. I will send a PM to you with suggestions of other sites with freebies on it.

On this sight a couple of weeks ago some one put up a sight for embroidery folders. Maybe you can look back through and find where it is at. So sorry for your loss. I don't know what I'd do if something like that happened to me.

I am so sorry you were burgled also. About 6 wks ago while on vacation our home was broken into and all my jewelry plus a hand gun was taken. Of course I will never see my jewelry again which is sad since it was 45 yrs. of things my wonderful husband had given to me. It's just things I know, but sad to think someone just takes whatever they want. All we can do is pray for the ones who are doing such awful things. I did d/l one of these 'Embroidery_Categories' file system thinggy, but it has been so long ago I have forgotten where I got it from. Maybe someone else will remember. It was something like 'Tashamba's' site. Did a search but cannot find it again.
You must be devastated to lose all your desings.

So sorry to hear about the fact that you where burgled. But if you have a backup opf your designs than you still have them. Or don't I understand you???

I had backed up all my designs but left all plugged into PC Cd disk, Memory stick ( All my own fault), The thieves took the lot wrapped in my Duvet and dissapeared through the cut razor wired fency>>>>

I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm not sure I understand what you want. An empty group of folders already titled? I'd love to help you.
