So, do you know one of these?

http://www.electricquilt.com/

I once had a macintosh version of Quilt Pro, after an odyssey it was delivered on floppy disc but my iMac didn't even had a slot for these. But I got it run and liked it. And you're guessing right: harddrive crashed before having finished one project, hehehe.

By the way: isn't it absolutely crazy how fast this technical stuff is developing? When I was a teenager (just the other day ;-)) we went nuts about a TV game playing "tennis" on screen with a pixel-ball.
Today the kids are directing animated cartoons....
Learning never ends- sometimes it's exhausting, but maintime fun, isn't it?

Back to quilt:
is there another programm you can recommend?
Or are you planning your quilt layout with a painting program?
Or do you have a less technical method for it, a design board with paper templates or ???
Please tell your secrets.

Thanks!

Eva

I have EQ5 and when I was quilting, I really liked it. About the only quilts I do anymore are baby quilts, I just don't have the time for quilting so I never upgrade to EQ6.

Starting with a small project is a very good tip.

Not sure about what this actually does, but HV has a new software for quilters. I plan to look further into it ... one of these days. Let me know what you think. I think it might be stand-a-lone. http://www.4dquiltdesigncreator.c... and a tutorial / http://www.vsmsoftware.net/educat...

This is for making quilting (embroidery)designs, not for planning a quilt.

I have the EQ6.It is very easy to use. Just go to the website and read up on it. And check out the links on that site for EQ6 projects.

Thanks- after a little more reading about it I tend to EQ.
And hopefully it will do something for IQ too.
