these towels are regular handtowels cut in half to make two then pleated to go into the topper, it is sewn in. instead of purchasing quilted material i bought a queen size quilted mattress protecter at a reject store you may call it a dollar store i think and it gives me heaps of quilted material for other projects as well.

How clever! I would have never thought of that! I have to go to more Thrift stores and garage sales.

Good job--I have also bought a blanket to cut up for baby blankets and quilts. Alot cheaper than buying the yardage.

I also do that and some times at the reject store I have picked up baby fleece blankets for $1.99 and cut a hole in center and bound the hole with ribbing to make cosy poncho's for kids.
