Both are just lovely, and its had to say which one is better than the other... just well done to all the cuties involved in this quilt ******
Both of them look good. I agree the words on a cream border.
I must say you did a wonderful job! Both are great but I prefer the lighter one.
OK. Let me just explain one thing. Ignore the colours of the blocks!!!!!!!! they are photos and scans and the colours are not true! So the colours of the blocks are either darker or lighter then the real ones depending on when and where they were taken, with or with out a flash.
To get the true colours of each embroidered block I would have needed to have the embroidery files, placed them in EQ6,then placed them on the fabric swatches in the software. I could not do this because I did not have them.
This is just a virtual representation of what it will look like, roughly.
When camylow puts it together she will sort the blocks and put them where they will look best.
To my understanding, the embroidered words will go on the cream border, so one needs to look a the bigger picture and try to visualize how they would look with either the light or dark border. I have a feeling that, with the dark border, the words might not stand out as much and might make the whole thing look a bit dark and depressing. The lighter border should make the words really stand out and brighten the whole quilt.
That is my opinion. But I am not going to vote, either. Like camylow, I will pass the buck.LOL!
I like the combination in Image 1, but find the center stands out too much it really draws your eye away from the squares, liked it better when it was across the bottom in one of the samples I think and definitely need the lighter border so the words show up..
I think I like the lighter one, thanks ricky for doing a great job.
I like the lighter one - but that is just my humble opinion! (either would be wonderful) Ricky, thanks for all your hard work!!*
The lay-out looks great. I prefer the lighter one, but both look beautiful to me.
I like the dark..........makes the quilt squares stand out more I think.........but I think they both are very nice.
They look great - but I am not sure I understand the border colors - what are they - I thought we decided to do a green that match most of the greens in the florals? Whatever works or the most want - is fine with me. Shuffle them around again - give another view. Hehehe!
Shirlene, I can only use the colours I have in my software. To use the colours of the fabrics that camylow is thinking of using, I would need a swatch to scan into EQ6.
As for matching up the greens in the designs- which one do you think I should pick??! There appear to be at least 4 different greens.
There is no need to match up the greens. The colours that camyloww picked are all great and suit the quilt to a T. Just a matter of deciding light or dark.
I like both Ricky you have done a great job for us to be able to see what the outcome is going to look like
I like the first one you showed us before. Just my opinion. Thanks for doing this mpo14011
What becomes of the quilt when it is finished? No one ever said or i may have missed it.

The darker one, for more contrast? Yes, the words will look great on the cream border. You are such a dear for doing this!! Hugs, hugs, and more hugs, Marji
Decisions, decisions! Never was good at making them. Both are great! I think I like the green border, but I would have used a lighter green that matched most of the greenery in the squares, instead of the olive green. And of course, if 100 cuties gave their opinion, you would have 100 ideas. And they would all be right! :)
hmmmmm, I think I like the darker one for the contrast. It's difficult to determind based on screen colors.;)
Gosh, they are both great but I think I like the light border best.
